Andrew has 28 years' experience advising clients on a wide range of commercial legal matters. He worked for two large Hamilton law practices before establishing his own practice in 2008. He focuses on advising business clients. He has particular experience advising the adventure tourism industry, and large scale farming clients.

Andrew was born and raised in the Waikato. The background knowledge of the regional issues, businesses, and regional politics gained as a result are invaluable in assisting clients with their legal needs. He is actively involved in coaching and refereeing his children’s sporting activities. He also continues to play touch rugby, cricket, soccer, and tennis himself, albeit with much less speed and agility these days.

Nic combines practical legal expertise with a personal, client-focused approach. She works closely with clients, taking the time to understand their unique needs and goals. Nic is known for her hands-on, solutions-oriented style, guiding clients through complex legal and commercial challenges with clarity and confidence. Her collaborative approach with colleagues, clients, and their advisers ensures that every client receives advice that is not only legally sound but also strategically aligned with their objectives.

William worked for several leading firms in Hamilton and Gisborne before joining us. William advises clients on a broad range of areas of law with a solution-based perspective and practical focus.

William has a law degree (First Class Honours) from the University of Waikato. He originally came from Shanghai, China. His overseas background adds an invaluable asset to his legal practices in New Zealand.

William’s practice areas include:

REGISTERED Legal Executive

Sarah is a qualified Legal Executive who has worked in the legal industry for over 25 years in various roles. Sarah graduated in 2008 and is registered with the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives. Sarah specialises in residential conveyancing, refinancing, subdivisions, building contracts and retirement village contracts. She also works closely with several high volume property developers on subdivision and build projects. Sarah has built her own home so she is familiar with the building process - including all the ups and downs. She’s also recently completed a full house renovation in her spare time! Outside of work, Sarah enjoys cooking, running, river walks and spending time with her teenage children when they oblige.

Madison joined the team in May 2025 and brings with her a solid grounding in trust law, estates, succession planning, relationship property, and dispute resolution. She’s known for her calm, clear communication and her ability to help clients feel confident navigating tricky or sensitive matters. Originally from New Zealand but having spent much of her childhood in Turkey, she has a love for travel, diverse cultures, and warm hospitality. When she’s not at her desk, you’ll likely find her on the netball court, out walking her dog, or enjoying brunch and a good book somewhere sunny.

Preeya is an expert employment barrister specialising in all aspects of workplace law, from litigation to strategic advice. She is dedicated to providing bespoke representation that meets the unique needs of her clients. Locally based and family-oriented, she balances her legal career with a busy life at home with her young children.

Emilie completed her studies with the University of Waikato and was admitted to the High Court in November 2025 as a Solicitor. She has recently joined the GHS Law team in February 2026. She has a keen interest for, and is growing her experience in, property and commercial law, and private client matters. Outside of work, Emilie enjoys running and collecting physical media such as CDs and DVDs.

Miranda has worked in a variety of legal roles since 2015. She graduated as a Legal Executive in 2019 and is registered with the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives. Miranda can help with all aspects of conveyancing needs but is especially passionate about helping young families and first home buyers through the sale and purchase process, including off-the-plans agreements, building contracts, sale and purchase agreements, kiwisaver applications and Kainga Ora first home grants. Miranda manages her time between the Hamilton office and working from home in Cambridge where she is our Cambridge local in the know. When not at work Miranda can occasionally be seen at the gym, often walking her chocolate Labrador and more frequently enjoying the cafes and restaurants around Cambridge.

Vikki is the glue that holds us all together around here! Our hardworking administrative superstar. Vikki works closely with our legal executives on conveyancing transactions and helps with the day to day tasks of keeping the office running smoothly.

Raewyn is a valued member of our team. She assists with the firm's office administration, takes on our daily trust account responsibilities, and lots of other ‘behind the scenes’ tasks that make the office tick. Raewyn is the welcoming voice you’ll hear when you phone us and the friendly ‘hi there’ that will greet you at our reception. She’s also the longest standing team member! Outside of work Raewyn enjoys family and the beach.

Lianna has worked across a broad range of legal roles and sectors throughout her career. She is known for her efficiency, organisation and professionalism. Her approachable manner and strong communication skills make her a valued point of contact for both clients and colleagues.

Lianna is a qualified legal executive and after taking some time away from the office to start a family, she has recently returned to the legal profession in a secretarial role. Outside of work she enjoys a good coffee and walks with her young family.

After a successful legal career over two decades and one of the founding directors of our firm, Dan retired from law in June 2024. He is enjoying a mid-career pivot to a management role in the not-for-profit/education space. While not available for client contact, Dan maintains an association with GHS Law.
